28 Days of Black Cosplay… The Addendum

So about a few weeks ago, I made this long post about my thoughts on this notion of 28 days on black cosplay.  Many people asked me why I spoke about it.  Simple really… Noone else would.  I knew that right after I opened my mouth and kicked over that wasp nest that there would be people who would respond, not in a good way.  I am thankful that people of all races and creeds agreed with what I said.  I also discovered that there were other black cosplayers out there who felt the same way as I did.  But that isn’t why I’m writing this.  Let me tell you what happened when I met and sat down with Harry… Or as I like to call him, Black Panther.

MegaRan and Sammus Live at Home Sweet Home

It’s no secret that MegaRan is one of my favorite recording artists out there.  I see him peform at least once a year, whether it’s at PAX East, or in New York City.  This year, I was not able to go to PAX East, but he was starting up another nationwide tour here with Sammus and other performers.  So me and D-Styles from The Brooklyn Otaku made our way over there to see him kick off yet another tour.  My only regret is that I didn’t bring a camcorder to record the show.

Pauley Perrette Book Signing

This was at Pauley Perrette’s book signing at the Barnes & Noble in Tribeca.  If you want to follow her on social media, she’s on Twitter. The pictures aren’t as good as I wanted them to be.  There was a no flash photography rule, and most likely my settings on my camera weren’t where they should have been… But we all live and learn, right? 🙂

Guilty Until Proven Innocent

I wasn’t sure if I was going to comment on this, but I feel like I need to say something, because I have been through something similar.  It sucks that we live in a world where we are quick to judge people on their crimes.  You can be the greatest person, make one mistake, and everyone is ready to air your dirty laundry.  And what if the mistake was fabricated?  Welp, the damage has been done.  So here’s the thing… Two weeks ago a friend of mine in the voice acting industry was accused of rape.
